Czechoslovakia Strad Copy 4/4 fiddle for sale in good used condition with excellent tone!
A Czech fiddle from the early 1900’s, this old fiddle has a sweet tone that has excellent projection and response. This instrument has seen some professional repairs over its time, and they all are great. I believe at one time someone had the neck professionally repaired and re-set, which is very common of instruments this age. There is one spot that is missing a piece of wood by the edge and that is pictured. There are no other issues or damages with this instrument.
The fiddle features a bridge with a lower radius - making it easier to bow multiple strings often used in fiddling - unlike a violin bridge. It has a nice low action and is remarkably easy to play. This antique instrument comes with a case and antique bow with really clean hair.
I’m asking $350 OBO for this instrument.
It would make a great first full-sized violin or a backup / campfire fiddle if you don’t want to take your good one out.
